Hello! I’m a birder, undergraduate biologist, and writer (seen here happily holding a Leach’s Storm-Petrel).
At Yale University, I’ve studied avian iridescent colors and delayed plumage maturation in seabirds as a member of Richard Prum’s lab. My current research focuses on vocalizations and cultural evolution in parrots introduced to Los Angeles.
Previously, I studied the evolution of Central American jays at Occidental College’s Moore Lab of Zoology, and during COVID, I studied novel social behaviors in Indian Peafowl.
